So in making all of these snowflakes, I realized that I've never seriously explored the extensive use of Xacto knives in making them. In fact, all but one of the snowflakes posted thus far were made using only scissors. (And some scotch tape if they started to fall apart at all.)
I finished my first snowflake using only an Xacto knife last night, and it turned out fairly well, though I did manage to cut myself in the process.
Since I have very little experience using these tools to cut several layers of paper at a time (The paper being folded into sixths for the snowflake) does anyone have any tips they could give me on using Xacto knives? I could really use some pointers to get better consistency and sharper edges.
Thanks!!!!
